The British Council, operating in China as the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy, has organised a career development workshop:

This year they have also teamed up with the Highway Career Services Co., Ltd, a professional overseas talent career service company, to invite well known businesses to take part in our event, which will allow Chinese students overseas to receive professional advice from senior HR specialists, gain first hand recruitment information from businesses themselves and learn about the best opportunities for career development.
They have invited HR specialists to talk to students about the current employment market situation in China. There will also be representatives from large Chinese enterprises present to discuss the various aspects of recruitment in China, as well as job hunting skills and other matters that students should be aware of, especially in the hottest industries and directions. During our events, students will also have the opportunity to ask the specialists questions that they have regarding finding employment in China and career development.

In response to the needs of previous alumni and employers, this year, the British Council China has invited several of the top recruitment companies to participate in our events. This will not only provide a fantastic opportunity for students to understand and discuss the requirements of China’s domestic employment market, but will also provide a wealth of employment opportunities.

These events are open to all Chinese students studying in the UK. However, due to site restrictions and safety concerns, students wishing to take part should register using the link provided below. Spaces are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Successful registrants will receive e-mail confirmation from us following the close of registration.
